What does it mean to be Apostolic?

To be Apostolic simply means to walk in the ways and teaching of Jesus the way the Apostles did as recorded in the Book of Acts and the New Testament.

The first message preached explaining how to respond to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is recorded in Acts 2:38-39.

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." NKJV

They believed and practiced the demonstration of the power of God, with signs and wonders and miracles confirming the Word of God.  They lived To Be the Church wherever they went rather than just attend church.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and in prayers. Acts 2:42

Every Spirit filled believer was a minister who shared the gospel, prayed for the sick, and was available to be used by God.  (See Acts 9:10-18)

It is our desire to follow the apostolic pattern of the original New Testament Church in doctrine, preaching, lifestyle and purpose as found in the Book of Acts and the New Testament scriptures.
